Seven students of the Kachi Knights karate club in Centurion recently participated in the World Martial Arts games held in Johannesburg.
All the students received national colours for their participation and won 18 medals at the event.
This is remarkable when one considers countries such as the US, UK, India and Namibia were all represented at the event.
The club’s members are taught under the guidance of Sensei Anton van den Heever (sixth dan black belt) and Sensei Sharon van den Heever (second dan black belt).
