Rugby fans warned against ticket fraudsters

The public is advised to buy their tickets for Saturday's test at Loftus Versfeld only through official websites and at official ticket offices.

The Blue Bulls Company (BBC) issued an official warning to rugby fans to be on the lookout for fraudsters trying to sell fake tickets to the public for Saturday’s test match between the Springboks and France.

The BBC said it has come to their attention that there are several websites that are selling fraudulent tickets to games at Loftus Versfeld and other stadiums. This is not a problem that is unique to Loftus and local stadiums but one that is experienced by entertainment venues internationally as well.

“We urge patrons to purchase tickets from our official ticketing partner which is Ticketpro.co.za, and from no other purchase portal, including websites that allow individuals to re-sell their tickets. These are often sold at a higher price and are also often not valid,” said the BBC in a press release.

Tickets for this weekend’s test match between the Springboks and the French are still available at bulls.ticketpro.co.za and official Ticketpro outlets, or from the Loftus ticket office between 8:00 and 16:00 on weekdays. The Blue Bulls Company will put out an official statement should the tickets be sold out.

Only tickets purchased directly through Bulls.Ticketpro.co.za and its official partners, or the Loftus Versfeld Ticket office will be valid. The Blue Bulls Company (PTY) Ltd takes no responsibility for tickets purchased through un-official platforms.
