Run or walk for Bibles this weekend

The Riana van Niekerk Run & Walk 4 Bibles race takes place this coming weekend in Centurion.

Starting out as a small walk event around Hoërskool Zwartkop athletics field in August 2012, the Run & Walk 4 Bibles has developed into to a fully-fledged running and walking race, including 5 km, 10 km and 21 km distances.

The 56 social walkers of 2012, grew to an astounding nearly 3000 participants in the 2016 event. The idea of running or walking for a good cause becomes more and more appealing. This is evident in the rapid growth of an event that donated more than R350 000 to further the translation, production and distribution of Bibles in South Africa in the past five years.

The Riana van Niekerk Run & Walk 4 Bibles has become a not to be missed race with the potential to become not only one of the biggest running events on the AGN calendar but also the biggest fundraising event for Bibles.

Runners can join Radio Pulpit 657 AM on the 1st of July at 07:00 am at Zwartkop High School to leave their mark at the Riana van Niekerk Run & Walk 4 Bibles race. The organizers challenge all Gauteng runners, walkers and the public to participate in one small act of kindness that can restore a flame of hope in someone’s life.

Race entry information is available on Facebook at Riana van Niekerk Run & Walk 4 Bibles or on the website: www.rvnrunandwalk4bibles.org
