Turke Club support wheelchair basketball team

The Puma Wheelchair Basketball Team and Lee Smith, also known as ‘The Rolling Giant’ recently received assistance from the Turke Club.

The Turke Club is a sports charity organization that was established in 1989 by ex-sportsmen who resolved to sow back all the years of pleasure that participation in sporting activities had given them.

The club consist of a diverse group of businessmen and ex-sportsmen with the same passion and commitment and their main aim is raising support and awareness for disabled sport.

The club held their annual music evening fundraiser at the Trademarx Sportsbar and Restaurant at Loftus Versfeld in aid of Lee Smith, also known as “The Rolling Giant”.

Smith and the Puma Wheelchair Basketball Team will be the Turke Club’s new beneficiaries. For more information visit the Turke Club’s website at www.turkeclub.co.za
