Plenty of reasons to join SPAR Women’s Challenge Tshwane this year

Two of the SPAR Women’s race ambassadors explained at the launch of this year's race why this event is so special to them.

The highlight of Tshwane’s running calendar, the SPAR Women’s Challenge Tshwane, is just launched and entries are officially open.

The race is known for being a great day out with the ever-popular lucky draw, charity handovers and on-stage entertainment treating the crowds after the race.

This race is boasting a new name, new look and a powerful theme, and these are just some of the reasons why you should enter.

“One of the things that make the Tshwane SPAR Women’s Challenge different from other road races is the fact that proceeds go towards different non-profit organisations. That alone is enough motivation for me to put on my tekkies,” enthused Sarina Frauenstein, one of the Tshwane SPAR Women’s Challenge brand ambassadors.

The 2019 race beneficiaries will be Masai Athletics Club, founded by our own world-class athlete, Caster Semenya, Hanna Charity and Empowerment Foundation, Cupcakes for Kids with Cancer and the ever-loved Good Morning Angles initiative.

If that is not enough motivation, also remember that every finisher will receive a medal and a goodie bag, filled with surprises. The day is also about spending time together and having fun.

“It is such a fun day where we celebrate life and each other.  All the participants are in such a good spirit. It’s a big jol from beginning to end and I can’t wait,” said Willem Botha, one of the returning brand ambassadors of the Tshwane SPAR Women’s Challenge.

This year’s theme of “Yes I Am” challenges and motivates you to come just as you are and join  25 000 other ladies in this exciting event.
