Free seminar for Comrades athletes in Pretoria

Prospective Comrades athletes will soon be able to learn from experts how to prepare for the ultra-marathon at a free seminar in Pretoria.

Tackling the world’s oldest and biggest ultramarathon demands proper training, the right advice, motivation, courage and determination.

The 95th Comrades Marathon will start at the Pietermaritzburg City Hall at 05:30 and finish 12 hours later at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Sunday, 14 June 2020. This will be the 47th Down Run.

Together with major sponsor Bonitas Medical Fund, the Comrades Marathon Association (CMA) is hosting a series of educational, motivational and inspirational seminars and workshops to help athletes make it to the Comrades Marathon start and across the finish line.

The Bonitas Comrades roadshow is aimed at helping Comrades Marathon novice and veteran athletes prepare, both physical and mentally, to ensure a successful Comrades journey.

The well-known Comrades Coach, Lindsey Parry, will share top tips and advice, garnered from years of experience in running the race and getting athletes race ready.

Entry is free and bookings are not necessary. Athletes get to meet the Comrades Coach and other experts who are part of these seminars and workshops, while there is also an opportunity for everyone to be a part of a fun, interactive session.

The Bonitas Comrades roadshows are being hosted by respective running clubs, with an upcoming Pretoria roadshow to be hosted by the Tuks Marathon Club on Tuesday 18 February at the Tuks Sports Campus in South Street, Hatfield.  The event will start at 19:00.
