Finalists announced for Tshwane Women in Sports Awards

Following the recent completion of the nomination process for the second edition of the Tshwane Women in Sports Awards, the organizers of the initiative announced the finalists in each category.

The Tshwane Women in Sports Awards (TWISA) finalists have been announced after what has been a yet another challenging year on the courts, fields, tracks and in the pools of Tshwane.

This unique Awards is an initiative of the Tshwane Sports Confederation (TSC) to uplift women in sport and ensuring that their importance and value are recognized.

Sports clubs and sports associations, as well as the public, have been part of the nomination process for this initiative since it was launched in November last year.

While the City of Tshwane has the most incredible sporting talent, it is not surprising that amongst this year’s finalists are Olympians and Paralympians. Women in sport in Tshwane do not only excel in a diverse range of sports but do so within all aspects ranging from administrators, technical officials and sponsors alike, and the TWISA are the opportunity to honour and celebrate their success.
