Pura’s kidnappers remain in custody

Pura’s kidnappers will remain in police custody until their bail application is heard in court

Alleged child abductor, Ray Pahlo and his five co-accused will remain in police custody until December 19, where their formal bail application will be heard.
The six will appear in the Pretoria Magistrate court and face charges of kidnapping, conspiracy to commit a crime, child abuse and contempt of court.

Pahlo, a woman and four Zimbabwean nationals, were arrested for allegedly kidnapping Pahlo’s biological daughter, Pura, earlier this month.

Pura was allegedly kidnapped in front of the Waterkloof Primary School.

Four men, who posed as police officers, allegedly dragged Pura’s foster mother, Kim Andreou, from the car.

Ray then allegedly grabbed Pura before he fled.

Police managed to arrest the four men.

Ray and the woman, in her early thirties, speaking with an American accent checked in at a guesthouse in Lydenburg, Mpumalanga, with Pura.

The owner of the guesthouse alerted police after she recognised Pura from photos on the Internet. Both Ray and the woman were arrested and brought back to Pretoria.
