Carols be Candlelight at Centurion Mall

Spend a night with glamorous South African artists for a good cause.

Centurion Mall will be welcoming Lloyd Cele at the upcoming Carols & Stars carols by candlelight event hosted by Rekord, Centurion Mall and Groot FM 90.5. This annual event will take place on 28 November at 19:00 in Centurion Mall’s amphitheatre.

This Idols runner-up has, since 2010, been travelling the country, performing at top live events, been nominated for top accolades, involved himself with notable charities, recorded songs with top producers, shot videos and collaborated with leading SA artists.

“My life has completely changed since being the runner-up in Idols. It’s been a whirlwind and I have never looked back,” Lloyd explained. Lloyd’s sound is about embracing South Africa’s diverse culture and bringing it all together in one album.

This formula seemed to have worked on his first album, One, which belted out hit after hit such as Thanks To You, followed by Make It Easy, which was nominated at the Sama awards of 2012 for song of the year.

Other artists that will perform at the evening’s complimentary festivities include Laurika Rauch, Elvis Blue, Loyiso Bala and Andriëtte Norman. The entry fee will only be canned or dry dog and cat food, which will be donated to the Centurion Tshwane SPCA and The Husky Rescue Centre.

Any non-perishable food, clothes and toys will be donated to The Hanna Charity and Empowerment Foundation.
