Rainy weekend expected

The South African Weather Services said a rainy weekend is expected.

The long weekend is upon us and if you’re planning a short holiday, be sure to pack your umbrella and rain boots.

Saturday will have a chilly start with a minimum of 14ºC and a maximum of 25ºC. Some showers can be expected throughout the day with thundershowers later in the afternoon, the South African Weather Services said.

Sunday looks a bit more promising with a minimum of 14ºC and a maximum of 27ºC. Partial clouds are predicted throughout the day.

Freedom Day is on 27 April, which allows most of us an extra day to rest this weekend. The day will start and end with partial clouds, and a minimum temperature of 15ºC and a maximum of 29ºC is expected.
