Minion Mayhem up for grabs!
The Minions visit Nu Metro Cinemas during the July school holidays.
An extraordinary cinematic event Minions is set for release at Nu Metro Cinemas nationwide from Friday, 10 July 2015.
In anticipation of this, the producers of the film have confirmed that the three main characters from the upcoming movie – protective leader Kevin, teenage rebel Stuart and lovable little Bob – will visit Nu Metro cineplexes across South Africa from 27 June until 13 July.
Fans will be able to get photo opportunities with their favourite, larger-than-life characters and get a sense of how it feels to encounter a Minion in real life. The event is open to everyone, free of charge – just show up and meet a Minion!
Nu Metro Cinemas will also unveil their brand new Minions combo at catering counters during the tour – featuring a limited edition, ‘collector’s’ style Minions popcorn bucket.
These official merchandise items were imported for exclusive sale via Nu Metro cinemas in South Africa, in conjunction with the release of Minions.
Minions will be at Nu Metro Menlyn on Monday 13 July from 14:00 to 15:30 and at Nu Metro Woodlands on Monday 13 July from 16:30 to 18:00.
Ever since the dawn of time, the Minions have lived to serve the most despicable of masters. From T. Rex to Napoleon, the easily distracted tribe has helped the biggest and the baddest of villains.
Now, join Kevin, Stuart and Bob on a global road trip in Minions – where they’ll earn a shot to work for a new boss (the world’s first female super-villain, voiced by Sandra Bullock) and try to save all of Minionkind… from annihilation.
The film features the voices of high-profile Hollywood talent such as Sandra Bullock, Steve Carell, Jon Hamm, and Jennifer Saunders; against a soundtrack of hit music from the ’60s that still permeates our culture today.
Minions is produced by Illumination’s Chris Meledandri and Janet Healy, and is directed by Pierre Coffin and Kyle Balda. Brian Lynch has written the screenplay for the 3D-CG comedy adventure, and Chris Renaud serves as executive producer of the film.
Minions will start showing at Nu Metro Cinemas nationwide from Friday, 10 July.
