When you hear the name Dan Patlansky, it immediately conjures up images of the genius guitarist, singer/songwriter and globally respected purveyor of the Blues that he is. On 27 July 2015, Dan will perform at The Atterbury Theatre in Pretoria with special guest, Lonesome Dave Ferguson.
Dan is back in South Africa after finishing the third leg of his four leg 2015 European Tour to promote his latest album, Dear Silence Thieves – where he visited Europe in May, June and July and performed shows in the UK, Poland, The Netherlands and Germany.
Special guest ‘Lonesome’ Dave Ferguson, a one-man lo-fi-hi-impact explosion of Trans-Blues and Country-Dub, will be joining Patlansky. He uses only harmonica, human beat-box and vocals, recording live loops and then layering and building those loops to construct a song. Although it’s a solo act, it’s not your typical singer-song-whiner type show – expect more in your face dance-style grooves served up in a Deep-South style.
The show starts ar 20:00 on Monday 27 July, and tickets will sell at R150 per person at Computicket.
