Possible hail on Wednesday night

The South African Weather Service warned of possible hail as rain was expected on Wednesday night.

Motorists should be cautious on the road on Wednesday after the South African Weather Service warned of possible hail.

Forecaster Venetia Phakula said the service had not received a forecast for thunderstorms but that rain was developing.

“There is a 30 percent chance of rain on Wednesday night. If it does hail, it might be small hail.”

She said chances of rain would continue on Thursday.

“No rain is expected for Friday but it will be partly cloudy.”

She said temperatures would remain warm, ranging between 31°C to 33°C.
