Magical energy for Watershed
Acoustic rock band Watershed is back with their latest album, Watch the Rain

South African band Watershed‘s brand new album, which hit shelves recently, has been described by critics as the best one yet…
Watch the Rain features a good dose of modern country, captivating lyrics, soulful vocals and a dash of melancholy.
“As we’re very proudly ‘homegrown’, it was very important to us that we put out an album that not only celebrated this, but also took our fans on a whole new musical, forward-thinking journey”, says legendary frontman and lead singer, Craig Hinds.
“As a matter of fact, this album should have been out months ago, but we weren’t leaving the studio until we were happy that our vision had been perfectly captured with every track.”
Watershed first became a household name back in the day with their debut hit Indigo Girl off their first album, In the Meantime.
60s, 70s and 80s babies will know the lyrics to this well-loved tune off by heart… After releasing In the Meantime, Watershed produced more well-received albums such as Wrapped in Stone and Mosaic, which brought in a SAMA award each and produced hit favourites such as Lovely Day and Letters.
Naturally international tours, overseas success and another album followed suit, with the rock band teaming up with international producers.
It was also while on international soil where inspiration first struck a few years ago for the group’s latest musical offering. Look out for the first song off the album, Magical Energy, as well as the catchy Don’t give Up and title song Watch the Rain.
