Andre Rieu, affectionately known as the ‘King of Waltz’, is one of the world’s most popular music performers, renowned for staging spectacular concerts filled with beautiful music, glittering ballgowns and amazing lighting and fireworks.
The 2016 Maastricht Concert from Vrijthof, one of the most beautiful squares in Holland, is no exception. South African fans will be delighted that this year’s surprise-filled concert will be broadcast on the big screen at Cinema Nouveau theatres, for two shows only.
This, as the art-house cinema chain continues to deliver on its promise to bring some of the world’s best live cinema events to local audiences. Cinema Nouveau has confirmed it will be screening the legendary annual André Rieu’s 2016 Maastricht Concert, at its four cinema sites – Rosebank Mall in Johannesburg, Brooklyn Mall in Pretoria, Gateway in Durban and V&A Waterfront in Cape Town – on 15 October at 19:45 and on 16 October at 14:30. Bookings are now open.
Set against the stunning medieval backdrop of the town square in André’s Dutch hometown, the spectacular Maastricht concert features the maestro in his element, along with his world-famous 60-piece Johann Strauss Orchestra, sopranos, tenors and very special guests. André promises, and delivers, an unforgettable musical experience full of humour, fun and emotion to be enjoyed by fans of all ages.
