It was not only the breathtakingly beautiful sky over the capital city that shone with stars on Monday when Rekord proudly hosted the cream of the local business community at a prestigious event where tribute was paid to those our readers regard as being The Best Of Pretoria.
Die Blou Hond, Case Toscana could not be beaten as the perfect venue for sipping bubbly and rubbing shoulders with a few special guests and the best service and goods providers in Pretoria.
Cameras were flashing to immortalise the glamorous event which, for the fourth year, had businesses and readers equally excited about the final results of who would boast the title of having been voted the best in the six main categories. “We wanted to single out the people, places and establishments that make the Jacaranda city, in our opinion, a serious contender on the world’s best city list,” said Rekord Group Editor, Sunette Visser.
She pointed out that community participation in the project had been overwhelming with thousands of votes cast by the people of Pretoria.
The Best of Pretoria Awards function could not have been such a huge success without the awesome sponsors, contributing to an unforgettable evening.
Fournos bakery sponsored and served the most delicious platters that was simple mouth-watering, not to mention the slices of petit fours, Greek biscuits, florentines, nut slices, chocolate brownies & jam tartlets.
Gudgu Cocktails, another sponsor was one of the main attractions of the evening with its extremely appetizing, organic and colourful cordials, decorated gorgeously.
