Top local and international DJs lead the charge into 2018 at Time Square New Year’s Eve block party.
Time Square at Menlyn Maine, Pretoria confirmed the line-up of illustrious local and international DJs to see in the New Year.
No less than 13 DJs, including three international mix masters, will be on the decks at the brand new Sun Arena, delivering thumping sets from 16:00 on 31 December until 07:00 on 1 January. Fashioned along the lines of the world’s biggest New Year’s parties, the Time Square bash, the New Year’s Eve block party, will be an audio-visual spectacular of epic proportions.
The 15-hour party features some of South Africa’s hottest DJs including Black Coffee, Euphonik, Kent, Vin Deysel, Dino Bravo, Ready D, Jazzy D and Black Motion. International acts include DJs Harrison Crump and Cocoa Chanelle from the USA and Ralf Gum from Germany. Tickets are available at Computicket from R390 per person.

The Sun Arena, launched on 4 November, is the first venue of its kind in Pretoria and also the largest purpose-built indoor seated arena in South Africa, with an area of over 6 300m2 of combined seating and mixed use performance space on two levels. With capacity to host 8 500 seated guests or 10 000 standing, the Sun Arena provides an unprecedented platform for staging grand scale events.
New Year revellers are promised the ultimate experience at the Sun Arena at Time Square.
In addition, revellers have access to the diversity of restaurants and bars within the casino complex. There are three unique establishments on the upper level: Forti Grill & Bar by Fortunato Mazzone – the charismatic South African chef, radio personality and owner of the multiple award-winning Ristorante Ritrovo, Something’s Cooking by J’Something by Joao da Fonseca – the lead singer of Mi Casa and well-known culinary artiste – aka J’Something and Guy Fieri’s Kitchen and Bar South Africa by Guy Fieri – American celebrity chef, restaurateur and TV host of Guy’s Big Bite and Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.
