He may have a mysterious past, but he is a pro at making sure that life for the high-spirited residents is one big, non-stop party. The status quo is challenged when ex-military charmer Leo checks in, triggering a competition between Duke and Leo for the top spot of alpha male, as well as for the affections of the newly arrived Suzie. When Duke’s past suddenly catches up with him, the rivals put aside their differences and the two men reluctantly team up to stop whoever is trying to kill Duke; and also save the Villa Capri.

12 Strong (16 LV)

Showing at Nu Metro Menlyn Park only

On 11 September 2001, the world watched in terror. On 12 September 2001, they volunteered to fight…

In the harrowing days following 9/11, a US special forces team, led by their new captain, Mitch Nelson (Chris Hemsworth), is chosen to be the first US troop contingent sent into Afghanistan for an extremely dangerous mission. There, in the rugged mountains, the northern alliance general, Dostum, must be convinced to join forces to fight a common adversary: the Taliban and its Al Qaeda allies. In addition to overcoming mutual distrust and a vast cultural divide, the Americans, accustomed to state-of-the-art warfare, must adopt the rudimentary tactics of the Afghani horse soldiers. But, despite their uneasy bond, the new allies must stand together against overwhelming odds – outnumbered and outgunned by a ruthless enemy that does not take prisoners.

12 Strong is based on Horse Soldiers by Doug Stanton – the book telling the declassified true story.
