COMPETITION: What’s new at the movies?

Five years, eight months, 12 days and counting — that’s how long Debbie Ocean has been devising the biggest heist of her life. She knows what it’s going to take — a team of the best people in the field, starting with her partner-in-crime Lou Miller. Together, they recruit a crew of specialists, including jeweller Amita, street con Constance, suburban mom Tammy, hacker Nine Ball, and fashion designer Rose. Their target — a necklace that’s worth more than $150 million.

Thys en Trix (Leandie du Randt-Bosch en Bouwer Bosch) is broer en suster en ook ywerige, onbeholpe polisiemanne. Thys is ’n bedagsame knoeier en Trix ’n ongeskikte, sexy rabbedoe. Hulle onderlangse twis veroorsaak dat hulle geskors word nadat hulle die polisiediens wéér in die verleentheid stel. Speurder Solomons, ’n gesoute en passievolle speurder, ondersoek die bedrywighede van ’n misdaad-sindikaat in ’n eksklusiewe gholflandgoed buite Mosselbaai. Vanweë hulle ‘vanilla-voorkoms’ word Thys en Trix vir die eerste keer uitgesonder as die bekwaamste span om ’n ondersoek te lei. Die feit dat hulle moet voorgee om ’n getroude paartjie te wees om die ondersoek geloofwaardig te maak, bemoeilik die situasie. Solomons sal hulle vergesel, maar is glad nie ingenome met die feit dat hy die butler gaan wees nie.
