Busy weekend for paramedics in Centurion
A father and his two children sustained injuries and were taken to hospital after their car veered off the road.

Paramedics had their hands full on Friday after several accidents were reported in parts of Centurion.
The CERT SA emergency response team responded to two motor vehicle collisions on the R55 near Forest Hill Mall and near Olievenhoutbosch.
“A truck and a light motor vehicle collided on the corner of the R55 and Marais road near Forest Hill Mall, where no one sustained injuries.
“At the same time a motorcyclist collided with a pedestrian on the R55 near Olievenhoutbosch in Centurion,” CERT said in a statement.

The pedestrian sustained moderate to severe injuries while the motorcyclist sustained minor injuries.
Both patients were transported to hospital in a stable condition by the Life Support 24/7 ambulance service.
Later that evening CERT responded to a motor vehicle collision on the N14 Highway near the Jean road offramp in Lyttelton.
“A single motor vehicle veered off the road and rolled on to an embankment next to the highway.
“The driver of the vehicle sustained moderate injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital in a stable condition by ER24.”

Earlier that evening the same paramedics responded to a motor vehicle collision on the corner of the R55 and M26 near Laudium where three light motor vehicles collided in the intersection, leaving three people injured.
On Saturday morning they responded to another single motor vehicle accident on Lochner road near Johann road in Raslouw.
The vehicle, occupied by a father and his two children, veered off the road and collided with a large boulder next to the road.
“The father and his two children sustained minor injuries and were assessed by our CERT medics before being taken to hospital by a family member for further assessment.”
