TMPD closes North office after staffer tests positive for Covid-19

The Tshwane Metro police department (TMPD) has closed its region 1 sector 1 offices in Mabopane after a staff member tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday.
“The 46-year-old officer consulted a doctor and took a test after experiencing Covid-19 symptoms,” said TMPD spokesperson Senior Superintendent Isaac Mahamba.
“The officer is in isolation for the recommended period.”
Mahamba said the offices were closed and would remain closed until further notice to allow for disinfection and tracing procedures.
Members of the public from areas such as Soshanguve and Mabopane who wish to visit TMPD offices can use the Winternest offices in region 1 sector 2 or call TMPD on 082 891 2386.
