One seriously injured in Centurion head-on collision

Three others, including an infant, also sustained injuries.

One person was seriously injured when two vehicles collided head-on along Ruimte Road in Wierda Park, Centurion on Thursday.

The person was in a critical but stable condition, according to Community Emergency Response Team (Cert) SA spokesperson Ruan Heyns.

The man, believed to be in his late 30s, was rescued from the wreckage using the jaws of life.

“A light motor vehicle and medium commercial vehicle were involved in the collision,” he said.

Three other people, including an infant were also said to have sustained injuries in the collision.

“The injuries ranged from minor to moderate and they were also transported to hospital,” Heyns said.
