POLOKWANE – Mitchell House hosted a market day for their Intermediate Phase (IP) learners on Friday 2 November where the learners sold goods which they have made and packaged themselves.
Review spoke to a few of the learners to find out why they think it is important for the school to host Market Days.
Maite Chaamano – “I think Market Day is very important because it helps us save and make profit at the same time. I also love buying sweets an food that I don’t usually buy.”
Joy Mokonyane – “During Market Day I get to spend money, but at the same time it teaches us to support entrepreneurs that are very creative at what they do.”
Haydn stander – “I love it when we host Market Day because we buy different things than what we usually buy at the tuck shop.”
Benjamin Okello – “I love Market Day because we get to buy most of the things without being limited. And it also helps learners to be creative enough to make profit from what they made themselves.”
Karabo Kekana – “Market Day is very important because we get to see different kinds of food that we do not usually see on a daily basis.”
