IN PICTURES: Red carpet glitz, glamour at second LIMA
Academic and musician Dr Sello Galane received the lifetime achievement award during the second Annual King Korn Limpopo Music Awards (LIMA) held at Meropa Casino and Entertainment World on Saturday.

POLOKWANE – The Ska Bhora Moreki hit-maker King Monada was crowned king of the Limpopo Music Awards.
He scooped song of the year for his hit single Taba Txaka Ke Txaka, featuring DJ Ceephonik. The song also won best Khelobedu single, and Chiwana, received best duo/group/collaboration.
Tsonga musician, Benny The President Mayengani who recently made headlines when he filled-up Giyani Stadium scooped best male and best Xitsonga hit with Tintoma. Gab Mapiano was crowned best industry contributor. Manyalo hit-maker Pleasure proved her singing power when she took best Sepedi Manyalo hit, and best female artist. Mahlatze Vokal also proved again that he is the best stylish artist, he won best style artist for the second year, while Chymamusique won best producer for the second time. The most trusted DJ Q-Scotch walked away with the best male DJ award and Pastor Lungi Ndala won best live DVD recording.
The new kid on the block, Master Kaygee, scoop best dance single for the hit Skeleton Move, while Hellen Seabi proved that she can compete in a male dominated industry, after scooping best female DJ. The awards were hosted by Twyza and Lethabo Le-Joy Mathato.
Dr Galane says this is quite humbling. “I have been honoured in different parts of the world in the same category, lifetime achievement award by Minister of Arts and Culture, Nathi Mthethwa, but to be honoured at home is a special achievement. This is the great achievement for me,” he said.
