Edupark takes silver at IMCSA awards
Edupark was named first runner-up in the category Project of the Year by the Institute of Management Consultants of South Africa (IMCSA) during an award ceremony in Sandton on September 27.
POLOKWANE – Edupark was named first runner-up in the category Project of the Year by the Institute of Management Consultants of South Africa (IMCSA) during an award ceremony in Sandton on September 27.
Guests at the ceremony included delegates from China, Slovenia, Russia and Germany.
Prof Jo Nel, the CEO of Edupark said he was surprised to discover that Edupark had been nominated for this prestigious award.
“I don’t know where they heard about us, but we were invited to send the required information to them and we received a certificate for being first runner-up,” said Nel.
This award recognises and promotes management consulting and related project and consultant achievements in South Africa.
“Our facilitation of the Eskom Contractors’ Academy was brought to the attention of IMCSA and although I felt a tinge of disappointment in coming second, it is not a disgrace to be beaten by a firm such as Accenture, who came first with their huge Back-to-Basics campaign for Eskom,” he explained.
The Msunduzi Municipality in Pietermaritzburg was the second runner up.
Nel expressed his gratitude for the support he received from Prof Nehemia Mokgalong, the vice-principal of the University of Limpopo and the staff of Edupark.
“Their hard work and focus on the programme have paid dividends. This award belongs to them.”
