KGAKOA Secondary School’s Student Christian Organisation (SCO) recently won first place for best gospel choir in the provincial SCO competition at the Ngoako Ramahlodi Sports Complex.
They also received certificates for best performance and participation.
According to SCO chairperson, Phuti Mashia, the SCO is about giving learners an opportunity to learn more about God.
Mashia said she wished more learners supported the organisation and wished to learn about God. “Learners should participate in Bible studies to learn more about ancient life and the word of God.
“God is the greatest of them all,” she said.
The organisation will not be able to participate in the nationals due to their final examinations.
Mashia the fact that they won’t attend the nationals doesn’t bother her at all as they still stand another chance next year.
Catherine Hlambisa, Kgakoa SCO president said she believed there would be less crime if young people attended SCO meetings and learned about life and the consequences of their actions.
