Speaking in public is their second nature

Capricorn High School hosted their annual Public Speaking Competition on Thursday.

POLOKWANE – Capricorn High School hosted their annual Public Speaking Competition on Thursday.

Schools that participated were Capricorn, Hoërskool Noorderland, Pepps College, Eagle’s Nest Christian School, Flora Park Comprehensive High School, Northern Academy and Taxila Secondary School.

Learners had five minutes to present a prepared speech and five minutes to present an unprepared speech.

Topics included: the power of music, two words that changed the world forever and be yourself.

Ngwale Natsapola from Capricorn won the junior category, with Mile Ilora from Pepps in second place and Lethabo Kekana from Eagle’s Nest in third place.

In the senior category, Dire Madebe from Eagle’s Nest was in first place, Eric Seabela from Northern Academy was second, and Alice Matsombe from Noorderland took up the third place.
