A DISAGREEMENT between rival gangs could be the reason for a 16-year-old boy’s death allegedly at the hands of his girlfriend’s 19-year-old brother at a tavern in Ga-Ramongoana, Moletjie last Sunday.
According to information, the 19-year-old man disapproved of his sister’s relationship with the boy as they were allegedly members of rival gangs, and trouble had been brewing between them for over a week before the incident. Seshego police spokesperson, WO Mothemane Malefo said the deceased was stabbed once in the chest. “He died upon arrival at Semenya Clinic, to which he was taken in a private vehicle,” he said. The suspect appeared before the Seshego magistrate’s court last Tuesday on a charge of murder and he is due to appear again today (Wednesday) for a bail application, Malefo said.
According to a source close to the victim, the victim was allegedly part of the Planet Four gang while the suspect was allegedly a member of the TS gang.
