It is TIME to take on crime

YOUNG people in Moletjie Ga-Semenya have finally found a line of attack aimed at minimising crime and developing the community, with the establishment of an organisation called Try Introspect and Minus Enemies (Time).
Time is an organisation that consists of 50 young people who say they are keen to fight criminal activities in their community by teaching people good morals through plays, poetry, motivational talks, comedy and dance.
The organisation performs at schools and community functions, and are planning to enter various big competitions to compete against other drama groups.
Koena Molapo, founder and coordinator, said he came up with the initiative after realising that young people had nothing positive to keep them busy except soccer.
“I wanted to come up with something new to keep them occupied. The main aim of the organisation is to develop the community through the community,” he explained.
According to Molapo, sport, arts and culture are the perfect tools for the community to use to bring people in the area together.
He further said the organisation wants to produce actors and poets who will represent the community in big events around the world.
Molapo urged young people to take part in sport activities, to live a healthy life, and stay away from crime.
Time would like to call upon business persons to assist them financially in order to enter competitions that will enhance their skills and knowledge.
Anyone who wishes to help the organisation can contact Molapo at 073 585 9335.
