Mitchell House recently hosted a preparatory interhouse athletics meeting, which was the first meeting of the athletics season.
The school’s three houses, Harman (green), Maytham (yellow) and Hudson (red) competed at the event.
The athletes performed very well and a few new records were also set.
Davon Smit set a new u/11 boys’ shot put record, Kgola Khunou set the record for u/12 boys’ javelin, and Summer Shikwane set a record in the u/11 girls’ high jump.
The u/12 girls’ discus record was set by Natalia Letsoalo, the u/12 boys’ shot put record was set by Kgola Khunou, and the u/13 boys’ discus record was set by Funi Nukeri.
Harman House won the day with 242 points. Hudson House ended second with 195 points, and Maytham House ended third with 193 points.
