POLOKWANE – The Seshego police is looking for an unknown man who shot and killed Charles Shaku (50) last Tuesday evening. The incident happened in Zone 1 at 21:00.
Shaku and a friend, Charles “Charly” Mogano, were sitting in a vehicle when an unknown man allegedly approached their vehicle. The man had a firearm and stared shooting at the two men in the car.
WO Mothemane Malefo, Seshego police spokesperson, said according to an eye witness, Mogano got out of the vehicle and ran away. “Shaku was shot several times in the upper body. He was certified dead on the scene by paramedics,” Malefo said.
According to Malefo, the motive for this attack is not known and police could not speculate as to the reason for this crime.
Mogano has been missing since the incident. His family is very concerned and plead that the community assist in finding him.
A case of murder and attempted murder was being investigated by the Seshego police.
