TENDANI Makondo's (18) dream of studying B.Com accounting remains a dream despite her excellent matric results, which included two distinctions.

TENDANI Makondo’s (18) dream of studying B.Com accounting remains a dream despite her excellent matric results, which included two distinctions.

The learner, who is from Vhembe, has pleaded with the good Samaritans of Limpopo to help her financially so that she can attend university. “I won’t lose hope that someone out there will come and rescue me from my situation. I do not believe it is my destiny to be uneducated and to live in poverty. I am determined to further my studies somehow,” she said.

Tendani lives with her wheelchair-bound grandmother while her mother, Mpho, lives in Johannesburg, doing odd jobs to support the family.

“I managed to raise R3 500 for her registration to secure her a space at the University of Johannesburg,” Mpho said.

Although CV published an article about Tendani’s dilemma last week, no one has as yet come forward to assist her.

Her family is pleading for anyone to assist financially.
