Family pleads for support

JOHANNES Thobakgale (53) of Kanana, Moletjie, says he urgently needs a new house and funds for his son to go to university.

JOHANNES Thobakgale (53) of Kanana, Moletjie, says he urgently needs a new house and funds for his son to go to university.

He lives in a run-down house with his three children and says he is too sick to work.

His social grant does not cover family expenses.

“Our roof is leaking, our doors don’t lock and often we have to go to bed hungry,” says Thobakgale.

Thobakgale’s son, Bernet (25) says he wants to further his studies. “I matriculated in 2007 and I am not able to go to university due to financial problems. I am working to save money for my studies, but because my family struggles so much, I am not able to save much,” Bernet explains.

He says he wants to study at the University of Limpopo.

“I am a good writer. I am writing a book called, A Man From the Other Country. I need somebody to help me publish my book.”

Any person who would like to help this family can contact Thobakgale at 076 817 6125 or 084 729 7343.
