POLOKWANE – The Capricorn FM studios were filled with joy last Thursday when six non-profit organisations each received R20 000 from the radio station.
The money was raised at Capricorn FM’s golf day in November, where players donated money to this worthy cause. MSG Afrika CEO, Given Mkhari and MSG Afrika’s chief financial officer, Andile Khumalo were among those who not only played golf on the day, but made donations at the event.
Grace and Hope Centre from Seshego, GMM Phasha Centre for the Blind from Ga-Phasha in Polokwane, Childline Limpopo, Red Cross Mokopane, Raphahlelo Community Home-based Care from Tzaneen and Shalate Drop-in Centre from Seshego were the six charities that benefitted from these donations.
“We understand that there are individuals who are in need of assistance and though we are aware that we cannot solve the world’s problems, we believe that the little that we do can make a huge difference in someone’s life,” said Capricorn FM’s managing director, Cyril Chetty.
