Limpopo flying squad recovers stolen vehicle in Polokwane

A 38-year-old man has been arrested after being spotted by an off-duty officer at the Mall of the North with a reportedly stolen vehicle from Gauteng.

A vehicle reported stolen in Gauteng has been recovered, and the suspect arrested, after an off-duty member of the Limpopo Provincial Flying Squad spotted it at Mall of the North in Polokwane on Friday (July 4).

Police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba said police responded to the information and located the vehicle. It had been reported stolen at Norkem Park SAPS in Gauteng Province last month.

The suspect, a 38-year-old man, is expected to appear before the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court today (July 6), facing a charge of possession of a suspected stolen motor vehicle.
