MYSTERY surrounds the death of a woman whose decomposed body was found in the room of a Limpopo College of Nursing student in Giyani after the student hung himself, leaving a legion of questions unanswered.
According to students, the body was discovered on April 5 after they complained of a foul smell coming from the room.
Limpopo police spokesperson, Col Ronel Otto, said the occupant of the room was Josias Moseki (29).
She said he committed suicide in Bela Bela the day after the body was discovered in his room. “The police were called by a train driver who told them that a man emerged from the bushes and jumped in front of the train,” she said.
Otto said the victim whose body was found in the room was identified as Ntwanano Malungani (25). She said the investigation still continued, and that two cases have been opened regarding the incident. “One is of murder in Giyani and the other is an inquest,” she said.
CV spoke with two of the victim’s friends who said they did not know whether she was in a relationship with the suspect.
