THE Baloyi family from Shawela village, who were recently left homeless after their home was destroyed by a fire in an alleged witchcraft related incident, received a welcome helping hand.
The Greater Letaba Municipality donated school uniforms and 10 blankets, while the department of social development provided the family with food parcels.
The family’s two-roomed house and two rondavels were allegedly set on fire by a man who accused the family of practising withcraft.
Greater Letaba Municipality disaster manager, Simon Moroatshehla, said the family lost everything in the fire.
The family is staying with relatives for their own safety.
