The biker community has decided to take a stand against the senseless deaths of schoolchildren and young people in motorcycle accidents by launching a Biker Awareness Campaign.
The awareness campaign will take the form of a mass bike ride on August 16 and everyone is invited to attend.
All riders are required to wear a reflective vest to create awareness that bikers should be visible. As far as possible, banners and flags must also be tied to motorcycles and helmets are mandatory.
People who are interested in supporting the ride and the flea market can contact Bossie Bosman on 084 396 1608 or Mariaan Coetzee on 084 620 2550.
