TUT classes resume on Monday

Students of the local Tswane University of Technology (TUT) campus will resume classes on Monday.

POLOKWANE – Students of the local Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) campus will resume classes on Monday.

This after classes were suspended late last Wednesday when the students became unruly.

The students are seemingly upset over the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NASFAS) which will only fund half the university students that qualified for its loans and bursaries and the possible result is that 10 000 students across TUT’s nine campuses will not be funded.

Students from main campus in Pretoria embarked on a violent protest last week and this week because of the NASFAS problem.
