The ANC Peter Mokaba Regional Conference is currently underway in Polokwane under the theme ‘Unity in Action towards Radical Socio-Economic Transformation’.
Elections for the regional officials is concluded and the following comrades were elected:
1. Regional Chairperson: Cde Dewet Monakedi
2. Deputy Chairperson: Cde John Mpe
3. Regional Secretary: Cde Eugene Masete
4. Deputy Regional Secretary: Cde Sammy Selamolela
5. Regional Treasurer: Cde Nakedi Sibanda
Elections for 20 additional members of the Regional Executive Committee (REC) will be held today.
The Conference will also break into the following Commissions:
– Social Transformation, Education and Health
– Local Govt Elections
– Communications and Battle of Ideas
-Finance and Fundraising
-Economic Transformation
– Organisational Renewal & Political Education
– Legislature & Governance
– Peace and Stability
