Immediate action was taken by Selepe to resolve the problem.
MOKOPANE – THE Democratic Alliance (DA) in cooperation with the Mogalakwena municipality is slowly but surely getting service delivery back on track starting at Soetdoring flats.
Marcelle Maritz, DA councilor of ward 32, and the municipality sprung into action last Thursday morning, and solved numerous problems affecting the residents of Soetdoring.
The outside lightning is being fixed, life electric cables were fixed, the grass were cut and the outside area cleaned. Service delivery came to a stand still for a few months due to the past struggle at the Mogalakwena municipality.
Maritz, handed over a petition on behalf of the residents, to the acting municipal manager Phuti Selepe, to have the area outside Soetdoring flats cleaned, due to safety concerns. Immediate action was taken by Selepe and the area was cleaned within 24 hours.
“I appreciate the fast action that was taken after I handed in the petition, I also thank the city council for their help,” said Maritz.
