POLOKWANE – The Polokwane Municipality proposed the following tariff increases before council yesterday:
- electricity 12.2%
- water 10%
- sanitation 10%
- assessment rates 10%
- waste removal 10%.
The national energy regulator (Nersa) increased bulk electricity by 14,29% while Lepelle Northern Water increased bulk water by 6.5%.
The final budget must be tabled by end May.
