Vhembe’s career centre a success

MATRICULANTS and young job seekers in Vhembe will now have support and guidance on furthering their studies and deciding which career to follow thanks to the Mudzusi Foundation Career Centre.

LIMPOPO – MATRICULANTS and young job seekers in Vhembe will now have support and guidance on furthering their studies and deciding which career to follow thanks to the Mudzusi Foundation Career Centre at the Makhado Multi-Purpose Centre near Nzhelele.

The career centre is a walk-in career guidance activation centre run by young people on a voluntary basis to help others with information on what to study based on their career choices.

The brain behind the walk-in centre, Masala Mudzusi, said the centre aimed to assist matriculants and young job seekers with career guidance, exhibitions and other career-related information.

“We are assisting all learners with quality career guidance so that there is an increase of enrolment in the higher education, college and entrepreneurship opportunities. This will help expose young people to opportunities available to them towards their own development and help them apply in time to different tertiary institutions,” Mudzusi said.

Mudzusi, who is also the project manager of the centre, said the walk-in centre also mentored learners step by step in assisting them to be well informed about the career path that they wanted to pursue. “We have formulated a very strong partnership with various institutions of higher learning and colleges,” he said.
