Artificial flowers make a profit

JOB scarcity encouraged Isaiah Ngwepe (40) from Mankgodi village in Ga-Matlala to establish a flower business in order to make a living.

LIMPOPO – JOB scarcity encouraged Isaiah Ngwepe (40) from Mankgodi village in Ga-Matlala to establish a flower business in order to make a living.

Ngwepe is the owner of a flower arrangement business using artificial flowers.

“Whenever people host events, they approach me to decorate for them with my flowers,” says Ngwepe.

The comedian and singer says he spent five years looking for a job with no success, and decided to start his business in 2000.

“The business has changed my life for better and I can now put food on the table for my family. Business is slow, but I still manage to make a profit of R2 000 every month. My dream is to supply big companies,” he says.

Asked if there are any challenges in his line of business, he says sometimes he does not have money to buy stock as some customers fail to pay on time.

His wish is to get a business partner who will help him grow the business so he can create more jobs for the community.

“I want to make a difference in the community. I want to be part of those who are helping to fight unemployment in the country.”
