Life behind bars for rapist

Johannes Lesetja Malatjie (37) was sentenced to life behind bars, for rape in the Lepahalale regional court today (Tuesday).

LIMPOPO – Johannes Lesetja Malatjie (37) was sentenced to life behind bars, for rape in the Lepahalale regional court today (Tuesday).

“Malatjie overpowered a 53-year-old woman while she was walking down the street on the evening of September 22, 2014.  He assaulted  and raped her,” said provincial spokesperson, Col Ronel Otto.

Malatjie was traced by a cellphone that he had left behind at the scene and was arrested.

DNA  also linked him to the crime.
