Limpopo police arrest 6 after armed robbery in Bele-Bela

Limpopo police this morning apprehended six suspects after an armed robbery at a local store at about 09:30 in Bela-Bela.

LIMPOPO – Limpopo police this morning apprehended six suspects after an armed robbery at a local store at about 09:30 in Bela-Bela.

“The six suspects armed with pistols robbed the Ackerman’s store personnel of cash and clothing and fled the scene in a white mini bus,” says provincial spokesperson Col Ronel Otto. No shots were fired and no injuries were reported.

A highway patrol officers spotted the mini bus on the N1 near Pienaarsrivier and stopped them says Otto

“The suspects were arrested, stolen goods and firearms were recovered.”

The provincial police commissioner, Lt Genl fannie Masemola applauded the swift response of the highway patrol officers.

He further said that the swift response will be a warning to criminals in other areas that they are not welcome to execute their  criminal activities in Limpopo and that they will be swiftly apprehended  and face to the full might of the law.
