LIMPOPO – THE Thohoyandou magistrate’s court on Monday postponed the murder case of former University of Venda student, Ndivhuwo Ntsieni until August 31 for further investigation.
Police spokesperson in Vhembe, Maj Mashudu Malelo confirmed that Ntsieni (24), a final year B.Sc degree student, faced 16 charges including murder, attempted murder, attempted rape, robbery, kidnapping and rape.
He is said to have murdered Tshililo Ndou (9), Zwivhuya Mashau (8), Livhuwani Mmbodi (22) and a female employee of a cleaning company contracted by the university, Brenda Ndovhe (45).
Civil organisations including the Thohoyandou Victim Empowerment Programme (TVEP), the Moral Regenerations Movement and Far North Network on Family Violence and the University of Venda have voiced their dissatisfaction should the accused be granted bail.
Nkhumiseni Tshivhase, community mobilisation officer of TVEP said should Ntsieni be released on bail, more women and children would become targets.
