140 Kumon completers awarded
A total of 140 Kumon learners were awarded for their hard work and achievements last Friday during a prizegiving function.
MOKOPANE – A total of 140 Kumon learners were awarded for their hard work and achievements last Friday during a prizegiving function attended by John Odeme, Limpopo Kumon area manger, and Masaki Tsuda, general manager of Kumon South Africa.
“At Kumon, our aim for every child is to become an independent, advanced learner, with a positive attitude to study. It is a life-skill that prepares them for the future,” said Odeme.
The Kumon Mokopane Centre was established by Fatima Tayob in 2001 and today the centre accomadates 140 students. The programme offers two courses: the Kumon English and the Kumon maths programme.
The following five learners were awarded as Kumon completers: Habeebah Mustapha and Rameez Tayob completed the English programme and Khutjo Cathy Mahloana, Maseschaba Kgosana and Shoki Mahlabegoane completed the maths programme.
