LIMPOPO – A 29-year-old man from Zimbabwe was sentenced to 20 years imprisonment for rape in the Modimolle Regional Court.
According to provincial police spokesperson, Col Ronel Otto, the suspect, Ian Chuko, overpowered and raped a woman while she and her family were moving into a new house in the Dorset area during March this year.”
“He entered the farm house at approximately 11:00 and dragged her to a water pump house outside where he raped her.”
Two cell phones were taken from the scene before he fled said Otto.
The suspect was arrested at Vaalwater only a few days after the incident.
