LIMPOPO – Local gospel artists inspired gospel music lovers with breathtaking performances during the Spring Gospel Music Festival at Jesus Glad International Church Seshego Branch in Seshego zone 6 recently.

Katlego Modiba Gospel Music director, Katlego Modiba, said besides spring being a time for renewal, the festival was held to create unity among artists, especially newcomers in the industry, as they came together and worked as one.

“I want to take young talented artists away from the streets and bring them into the music industry through initiatives such as this.

“I have realised that our province has talent; all we need to do is assist and lead them in the right direction,” he explained.

“The festival also served to bring a new way of enjoying the season to the locals, instead of them spending their time at taverns or hotels, or engaging in criminal activities,” he added.

Urban Matjila was one of the performers.

He is a pianist who took the audience to new heights with his performance.

“It is good to have such festivals. We witnessed that our people really love our music as local artists and with their support we look forward to bring them more,” he said.

Also performing were City Modiba, Joe Molele, Tebogo Sekhukhune, Daisy, Terrence Moloto, Moziri Group, Mams Molapo, Monicca, Maribula, Caro, Kelebogile and JGTI.

Several people from the audience were pleased to win T-shirts and CD hampers at the festival.
